What is commercial disinfection?
Commercial disinfection is a new service by cups created for coffee shops to reduce the risk of COVID-19. Health and safety procedures have always been important in our industry and now more than ever before. Commercial disinfection was designed to help you maintain a clean and safe space for staff and customers alike.
Disinfection specialists come into your location at a scheduled time to treat your surfaces with an antimicrobial spray that immediately eradicates bacteria and viruses. These treatments are conducted by trained professionals with full personal protective equipment. The effects of this service are residual, lasting up to weeks after, meaning your surfaces are protected from future exposure for a period of time.

2. Select the square footage of your location and choose a date & time
3. Provide an on-site contact and any other relevant information a specialists may need to know.
4. Add to your cart and check out.
5. A disinfection specialists will arrive at your location on the date you selected.
What is the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?
Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. Cleaning alone does not kill germs. But by removing the germs, it decreases their number and therefore any risk of spreading infection.
Disinfecting works by using chemicals, for example EPA-registered disinfectants, to kill germs on surfaces and in the air. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces but reduces any risk of spreading infection.
Should different surfaces be cleaned and disinfected differently?
Yes, the CDC recommends different cleaning & disinfecting protocols depending on the type of surface.
What disinfectants are used in the cups commercial disinfection service and are they food safe?
Broad spectrum CDC approved and EPA registered Industrial strength disinfectants are used. These product are safe for people and do not not contain harsh solvents, bleach or alcohol.
What is residual activation and how long does it last?
Our disinfecting spray is like Purell on steroids. It kills on contact and provides up to three months of residual surface protection. It works by forming an invisible antimicrobial coating that minimizes the spread of infection now and in the weeks and months after the spraying is complete.
The water-based solution aggressively adheres to surfaces, creating strong bonds that provide short-term and long-term disinfecting protection. Antimicrobial agents activate surfaces, continually killing germs and bacteria over time.
Will I get any documentation or proof that my cafe was sanitized by a commercial disinfection service?
Yes! A certificate of decontamination will be provided upon completion of the service, This document can be prominently displayed at entry or placed in a window should you choose to do so.
Why should I schedule a commercial disinfection if I can just do it myself?
In short, you can't do it yourself. You and your team can (and should!) be consistently cleaning your coffee shop but commercial antimicrobial sprays are far more effective and longer lasting than traditional disinfectants on the market. With ordinary solutions, your cafe can become recontaminated the moment you finish cleaning.
Antimicrobial agents, however, will not wash away or quickly deactivate. Instead, the particles aggressively adhere to tables, walls, floors and other surfaces, preventing the spread of infection for up to three months.
How frequently should a cafe consider a commercial disinfection service?
We recommend scheduling a monthly service or immediately should someone test positive for COVID-19 who has been on-site in last 2 weeks.
How long after the commercial disinfection service can I reopen my cafe to customers?
We ask that you wait around 2 hours after the service is finished to open back up.
